Snowy Sunday Snaps

Since I live in Maine it is no wonder that I am sitting here and it's snowing outside. And since we have over 3 feet of snow outside, since December, I have started to run out of things to do!

On one of my weekly shopping trips yesterday I saw some Gerber Daisy's on sale for $4.99. Now who doesn't love a touch of pink in the middle of winter? I know I sure do. So I cut them, stuffed them in a water filled vase, and called it a day.

Then as I was wandering around with my baby boy in the Boba I saw how close my camera was sitting next to those pretty pink flowers. Ah-ha! Why don't I snap a few pictures. So I took out my extension tubes so I could get some really good macro shots.

So here are just a few shots. Seriously, anything pink can turn a dreary Maine snow day into something bright and wonderful!

    1. Oh wonderful camera! I have the Nikon D3000 (earlier version of what you have). It's a great camera. Get off of Auto and go to Aperture priority "A" on the dial. Play around with that. You select the aperture (depth of field...lower the number the more blurred background) Higher the number the more will be in focus). And then the camera will select the shutter speed for you. If you have any questions at all about anything just ask!!

      have fun!!!!
