Saving Cents on Scentsy!

I am willing to bet that the majority of you have some sort of Scenty product in your house. Either the wall plug-in, the table top warmer, or some other product. And as you can imagine, or have experienced for yourself, those little wax squares get expensive, especially if you have the warmer on all day long like I do.

Being a stay at home mom, and now living off of one income, I had to be realistic about where our cash was going. Were those little wax squares ($5 a pack) really worth it when I was going through a pack a week? I didn't think so. So, I had to think of a better way to fill my house with a nice fragrance but keep the cost down. I do love candles, and I have a ton of them, but having a newborn in the house, it makes me nervous to have a candle going all day.

Then I thought of it. What about those essential oils ($5) you get from Bath and Body Works? I absolutely love the smell and one glass container holds way more fragrance compared to the Scensty squares. So I tried it. BINGO! It was amazing.  I put 10 drops in the wall plug-in in the morning and the scent lasted all day. Then the next morning, if I wanted to change the scent, all I had to do was wipe out the residual oil, since most of it had been burned up from the previous day.

I wasn't stuck with a certain scent for a while because I didn't want to dig out the wax and store it. I was  able to change out the scent whenever I wanted and I could even mix scents together to create my own. So for the same price I have gotten a whole year's use out of just 2 fragrances.

And an added bonus: you can go right to the store and get the oil and not have to order it through a catalog party!
